Your visit to the Hall is like stepping back in time.
Imagine you are a guest at an Edwardian country house. Enjoy the elegant surroundings and an opulent lifestyle, waited on hand and foot, perhaps taking tea with Lady Sefton.
Or imagine being a servant, rising early and toiling in the kitchens, scrubbing floors or carrying coal, all under the watchful eye of the housekeeper and butler.
Generations of the Molyneux family, the Earls of Sefton, lived at Croxteth Hall from the sixteenth century until the death of the last Earl in 1972.
Children and adults will enjoy the sights and sounds of country life! Get close to all the animals (cows, pigs, horses, sheep, etc) on a real working farm.
See the traditional Victorian farmyard, home to an important collection of rare farm breeds of the past. Also learn about modern farming, watch our livestock grazing in the Country Park and look at the small animals collection.
Displays, demonstrations and special events in the Farm throughout the year let you find out more about rural life.
New this year - Feeding Time on the Farm - keep your tickets and return to the farm to watch feeding time at 3.45pm each day. Farm and Saver tickets are valid for re-entry to the farm for Feeding Time only on the day of purchace.
Society figures and royalty frequently came to stay for country house parties, particularly in the Edwardian era. Today the rooms are open to the public, showing life both 'above' and 'below' stairs. The Hall is also a venue for concerts and art exhibitions.
Relax in the peace of the Victorian Walled Garden. Concealed by high walls, this hidden treasure is almost untouched by time.
A quiet stroll around the garden reveals the ingenuity of bygone gardeners - heated 'flue' walls, ornate fruit trees, a mushroom house and exotic fruit in greenhouses
Enjoy a peaceful stroll in the country, surrounded by magnificent woodland, grazing livestock and traditional cottages. The landscape here has changed little in over a century
